How is my project price worked out?
Your one-off fee is set by the construction value band you choose. It is fixed when you confirm project details and never goes up mid-project, even if the build costs move. The value you declare forms part of your project record and appears in your evidence pack.
The client is not on DocRide. Can I still use it?
Yes, that is exactly what this route is for. Upload the PCI you were given and DocRide reads it, flags what is generic, missing or unclear, and drafts your Construction Phase Plan from it. Nobody else on the project needs an account.
What if I was never given a PCI at all?
Build one instead. DocRide's guided questions produce the pre-construction information from what you know about the site, and flag the gaps to chase with your client, such as missing asbestos surveys or service records, before they become problems on site.
Do my subcontractors have to pay anything?
No. Your project includes unlimited subcontractors at no extra cost — Fair Usage Policy applies. Each one gets full project access: RAMS submission with competence records and equipment certificates attached, permits, inspections and incident reporting. They only pay DocRide if they want it for their own business.
Who reviews and signs off my Construction Phase Plan?
Your own health and safety manager can review and sign inside the app. If you do not have one, an independent IOSH-registered consultant reviews it at a fixed fee set by your project's construction value, quoted before any work starts.
How do I know my subbies are actually compliant on site?
The dashboard shows red, amber and green per subcontractor: whose RAMS are approved, whose operatives are inducted, whose certificates expire mid-project, whose statutory inspections are overdue and which permits are live. Expired evidence flags itself before it becomes a problem on site.
What happens if the PCI changes mid-project?
The affected sections of your Construction Phase Plan flag for review with a clear before and after. Once you update and re-approve them, any subcontractor RAMS that relied on those sections flag in turn. Nothing rewrites itself silently and every version is kept.
What happens when the project ends?
Download everything free, forever: documents, sign-offs, versions and the evidence pack. If you want the project to stay live in DocRide, searchable and linked to your track record, it is £10 a month for projects up to £500k, £20 up to £5M and £35 up to £25M, with larger and Higher-Risk Building projects quoted. Does DocRide take on my duties as Principal Contractor?
No. Your duties to plan, manage and monitor the construction phase stay yours under CDM 2015. DocRide gives you the drafts, the workflow and the recorded evidence that you discharged them, plus independent competent advice when you want it.
Are prices inclusive of VAT?
No, all prices exclude VAT. One project means one site or contract, and you confirm everything before any payment is taken.
